Points + Rebounds + Assists (PRA)
PRA is the sum of a player's points, rebounds and assists in a game.
PRA totalPRA prop
Plain definition
PRA combines a player's points, rebounds and assists into one total. It summarises production across scoring, rebounding and playmaking instead of treating each category separately. A high PRA therefore indicates substantial activity in several areas of the game.
Derived terms
PR
Points + Rebounds: the sum of a player's points and rebounds in a game.
PA
Points + Assists: the sum of a player's points and assists in a game.
RA
Rebounds + Assists: the sum of a player's rebounds and assists in a game.
Why it matters
PRA is useful for assessing an all-round player rather than only a scorer. It rewards players who contribute through points, passing and rebounding, but it should still be considered alongside shooting efficiency, turnovers, minutes and matchup context.
Practical example
A player finishes with 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists. The PRA total is 36 because the three statistics are added together.
