H2H

H2H is the head-to-head history between two teams or players.

head-to-head recordprevious meetings

Plain definition

H2H brings together the previous matches played between the two opponents in an event. In this glossary it refers to their historical meetings, not necessarily to a winner market. It can reveal recurring scores, matchups or margins, but it does not prove that the next event will follow the same pattern.

Why it matters

Head-to-head history can highlight recurring matchup effects, especially when two styles consistently neutralise or trouble each other. Recent meetings can add useful context, but they should always be considered alongside current form, line-ups and present conditions.

Practical example

If two teams have met five times recently and four of those matches were close, their H2H record adds context without guaranteeing that the next match will follow the same scenario.
